just started drawing without any thought to the text placement. You know, the part that actually matters--the information. It kind of fell in line anyway. this is why i am not a graphic designer.
sketch - corel painter, chalk tool.
line- corel painter, scratchboard pen tool.
color/texture/text - photoshop
texture--old paper scan, desaturated, layer=multiply, set under the linework, over the color layer.

So cool. How do I sign up for your Illustration and Computers class?
Agreed, you gotta do some screen cature vidz, Holmes. I want to see the master in action.
beautiful! I'd love to see a step-by-step tutorial, too, great stuff!
thanks guys!
i don't think i'd have too much to share w/ the 3 of you illustration/design wizards - but i'd be happy to document something.
great drawing. "scratchboard pen tool"??? that's better than the regular pen tool????
it's a weird name, Mike--but in Painter, I find it's closest to a cross between a fine brush and a pen.
Wow!! You weren't kidding. Amazing use of digital tools.
